Sports Complex Rules

Youngsville Sports Complex Rules

For the enjoyment and preservation of the Youngsville Sports Complex, please observe the following:

  1. NO outside food or drinks.
  2. NO cooking or food preparation.
  3. NO gum, sunflower seeds, or other shelled products.
  4. NO glass bottles or containers.
  5. NO ice chests – Personal water coolers are encouraged.
  6. NO gas powered heaters or generators.
  7. NO alcohol, smoking, vaping, tobacco products, or drugs.
  8. NO firearms, fires, open flames, or flammable liquids.
  9. NO obscene behavior or profane language.
  10. NO loud or explicit music.
  11. NO loitering or soliciting.
  12. NO use of sports fields without reservation from YSC.
  13. NO sales or services with compensation rendered.
  14. NO skateboards, bicycles, rollerblades, scooters, or other wheeled vehicles.
  15. Pets allowed only on walking trail and must be leashed at all times.
  16. All visitors are at risk of being hit by a sports ball. Stay alert!

Please report all incidents and accidents to YSC staff, Park Police, Security, or emergency reporting stations located at concession buildings. In case of emergency, call 911.

Failure to comply with requests from YSC staff, Park Police, or any of these rules will result in removal and possible suspension from the facility.

Recreation Center Rules

Recreation Center Rules

  • Entry and exit from the recreation center are only permitted through the main lobby area.
  • The gym is monitored 24 hours per day by surveillance cameras.
  • The YSC staff is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
  • A fee will be charged for damaged or lost equipment. Fees will be determined based on fair market value/replacement cost of the item.
  • No outside food or drinks are permitted.
  • Alcohol and illegal drugs are prohibited inside the Recreation Center.
  • Smoking, vaping, and use of all tobacco products are prohibited inside the Recreation Center, in all parking lots, and on all YSC grounds. Ord. No. 368-2014, & 1, 5-8-2014
  • Pets are prohibited inside the facility.
  • Injuries, accidents, or equipment failure must be reported immediately to YSC staff.
  • All bags are subject to search.
  • No dunking, hanging on rims, backboards, or nets. No throwing, kicking or hitting balls.
  • No personal sports equipment permitted, except for personal pickle ball racquets.
  • Participants must seek assistance from YSC recreation staff for adjustments and setup/take down of the volleyball, basketball, pickle ball, or other equipment. Assembling, disassembling or moving equipment that has not been set up is prohibited.
  • Non-marking athletic shoes are required in the gym when participating in athletic activity.
  • No fighting, bullying, use of profanity or racist/sexist language. Respectful conduct required.
  • Inappropriate clothing, or clothing with offensive or profane language, designing, or pictures are not permitted.
  • Shirts must be worn at all times. Shorts must be worn properly over the hips.
  • Prohibited activities not processed through YSC staff scheduling include: Organized practices or workouts, personal training, private instruction, sales, or any services for which compensation is rendered.

Free Play Rules

  • Free play hours are posted online at www.youngsvillesportscomplex.com. Free play times are subject to change.
  • Youngsville residents are permitted to participate in free play with a printed, valid State driver's license or State ID card with Youngsville residency.
  • Youngsville residents are allowed one guest from outside the City of Youngsville.
  • Guests aged 16 and older must also provide a printed, valid State driver's license or State ID card.
  • Participants of YSC sports programs are permitted to participate in free play.
  • Sports program participants must also provide a printed, valid State driver's license or State ID card and are not allowed guests.
  • Driver's licenses and State ID cards will be held at the front desk during free play participation.
  • Children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older at all times. A waiver accepting full responsibility and liability is required for non-family members.
  • Sports equipment may be checked out at the front desk only by Youngsville residents. YSC equipment must be returned to the front desk after use.
  • Use of the facility and all equipment is available on first-come/first-serve basis.
  • No music may be played unless using personal headphones.

Failure to comply with YSC staff or Park Police on any of the above rules may result in removal from the gym, suspension from the gym for a determined length of time, or permanent suspension from the gym.

Pixus Splash Park Rules & Info

YSC reserves the right to close the splash park due to inclement weather, maintenance concerns, special events, etc.

  • YSC IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST STOLEN OR DAMAGED PERSONAL PROPERTY.
  • FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES AND ALL FACILITY RULES WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE REMOVAL FROM FACILITY.

Pixus Splash Park Rules

  • No running or disorderly behavior.
  • No toys allowed inside the splash park.
  • No climbing or tampering with equipment.
  • No covering water fixtures or drains.
  • No pets allowed inside splash park.
  • No food, beverage, candy, or gum allowed in
    water feature areas.
  • No alcohol, tobacco, or glass containers allowed
    inside of splash park.
  • No tents allowed inside of splash park.
  • No bathing or use of any soaps.
  • All children 12 and under must have adult supervision
  • Toddlers must wear swim diapers. Diaper changing
    must be done in restrooms
  • Do not enter if you are ill or have an open wound
